iphone dump

Wow!  I have been an AWFUL blogger!  I blame it on lack of sleep!  I'm just going to do a random iphone dump to get up to speed.

Here is sweet little Adeline!  She loves to swing!

This was her one week appointment.  Her jaundice was gone and she was up to 6lb, 4oz which is great because four days before that she was 5lb, 10oz.  Chunky little monkey!  I'm so glad that they didn't do the heel prick to take her blood to test for jaundice.  The poor thing had her heel pricked so many times!  The doctor just looked at her and said she was fine!  I LOVE our pediatrician!

Miss Gracie is quite the character!  I cannot believe my baby will be two in TWO days!!!  She went with Eric to one of his friend's houses who has two little girls that are 4 and 6.  They loved to dress Gracie up and even let her take home this outfit.  This is how she was dressed when she came home.  She was in heaven!

Adeline has been sleeping better lately, even going 5-6 hours over the past few days (hooray!) but if she figures out that she's not being held, she will wake up screaming.  She is just fine and it's like someone hits a mute button on her as soon as she is picked up.  I do love holding her, but my house is a mess and sometimes I just have to get stuff done!  We will have to work on this, I might try to master the Moby wrap this week.

Sweet girl!  I'm ashamed to say that I don't put bows on her or dress her up nearly as much as I did Gracie.  I just want her to be comfy and so I keep her in cute sleepers most of the time.  I'm sure once she's 2 or 3 months old I will start to "frill" her up a bit!

I made a new recipe the other night and it was awesome!  It's a tortellini that is cooked in the crockpot and I found the recipe here.  It was so quick and easy to make!  I put it with a caesar salad and "The Bread".  If you've never made The Bread, you're really missing out, it's amazing!

Sadly, after making this, little Adeline had fits for days!  Gracie was a very gassy baby to the point where it was very painful for her and she screamed.  Adeline has been the same way.  I have tried to eliminate dairy and caffeine and we will see if that helps.  This is what my dinner looked like the other day.  An orange and a piece and a half of dove chocolate.  ha!  I'm feeling really sorry for myself right now and secretly hoping that the dairy and caffeine make no difference.  I didn't realize how many recipes I have that have cheese in them, it's about 99% of them!

GG has been very accident prone lately.  She literally trips and falls all the time!  I think she just tries to go faster than her little feet can take her.  The other day we made cookies and I set them on the stove to cool off.  Gracie reached up there and grabbed the pan because she wanted a cookie so bad!  Here she is with an ice pack in her hand and of course she wanted a "ban-baid" to go along with it!

And another ouchy!  This one actually freaked me out pretty bad and I almost ran her to the Urgent Care clinic.  We have a huge rock wall in the living room around our fireplace and she tripped and fell into it.  She must have hit her head on the corner of a rock because she had a deep gash on her hairline.  It looked more like a puncture wound and I don't think she needed stitches, but it looked like it went all the way to her skull!  She didn't seem too bothered by it though.  She cried for a few minutes, we gave her tylenol because I'm sure that would have been throbbing later, and she never mentioned it again.  This was two days ago and it never swelled or bruised, so I'm not sure what will happen with it.  I'm sure it will leave a scar.

I cringe every time I look at this picture.  This happened last Friday and it was a pretty rough day.  Adeline had been crying for days (gassy little thing) and didn't sleep well at night at all a few days last week and my patience just jumped off a cliff or something because it wasn't there.  Anyway, I went in the other room to put Adeline down for a nap and when I came back in the playroom, I found Gracie drawing all over the furniture with a sharpie!!!  I just started crying!  I think it scared Gracie because she hugged me and said "I sorry I make a mess momma".  Poor baby.  She did get a spankin and get put in timeout.  I felt really bad though.  I sometimes have a hard time remembering that she's not even 2 and doesn't understand things.  Because she talks so well and acts like she understands things, I assume she does, but I know that's not the case.

Aww, it's a sweet sleeping baby!  Couldn't you just eat her up?!?  They're always precious when they're sleeping.  And then they wake up, ha!

We had a SNOW day today!  Gracie just loved it!

And then there was poop!  I am going to tell y'all that I actually cut this off of Adeline!  There was no way that that much poop was going over my baby's head!

  1. I remember those early days with two kids (mine were 20m apart). They were hectic and just like yours, but rest assured it doesn't last forever! It's a big adjustment and you seem to be handling it well. :)

  2. Awe Adeline is adorable. Kendall has had some blow outs like that. I take her arms out of the onesie ans slide it off down instead of over her head. I can't believe Gracie is going to be 2 already, it feels like I was just looking at pics of her 1st birthday
